Wedding Planning Ideas and the Sioux Falls Convention Center

You are recently engaged, and the excitement of all the possibilities with wedding plans starts to sink in.  The wedding ceremony site and reception venue are secured.  Now you are ready to start lining up all of the other vendors….but…..how do you start this process?  Wouldn’t it be helpful if someone could get you started down the right track with this essential process?  So many services needed, and for most people, time is very valuable.  If you book your wedding reception with a respectable and experienced venue, it isn’t out of the question to seek professional advice from them services or products……is it?  The answer should be absolutely not.  Wedding reception venues should have contacts and information on local wedding providers, and should also be able to give their thoughts as well as basic information on them.  In my personal opinion, it is the responsibility of wedding reception professionals to be educated in regards to the needs of their clients.  If you enjoy what you do, and genuinely care about your clients, you should see it as a privilege to be asked for your opinion, and should also find satisfaction in helping your client achieve their goals for the entire event.  Not just the bare minimum or “your portion” of the event.  With this in mind, my team at the Sioux Falls Convention Center took the time to put together an exclusive booklet to assist our couples with finding the perfect vendor for just about everything they will need.  It is called “The Wedding Companion” and it features local wedding professionals that provide superior products and service.  This is a fantastic tool that we provide to all couples that tour and or book the Sioux Falls Convention Center, to guide them in making selections for every aspect of their big day!  Photographers, limo services, entertainment / DJ’s, cake decorators, decorating services, travel arrangements…the list goes on and on.  The booklet also outlines basic timelines as the couple is planning; keeping them on track so nothing is overlooked.  Each vendor has a full page ad in the booklet (6×6 in size) to showcase their services/product.  I always strongly encourage brides/grooms to contact the vendors in our Wedding Companion, because these are individuals that I would personally do business with if I had a need for myself or our facility.  If you want to work with a venue that can offer so much more than just a space to host your wedding reception, please give me a call today!
