Reception Venues in Sioux Falls

Summertime is a season of numerous things.  It is a time to gather with family or friends, take fun vacations, enjoy time outdoors, and barbecue.  Some people think of summertime as “wedding season” because the summer months typically offer desirable weather for an occasion such as a wedding.  If a couple is looking to integrate a one of a kind theme that would surely leave an impact in more ways than one to their wedding, why not consider hosting this important day over the fourth of July weekend?  The fourth of July is a holiday that is commonly associated with colorful activities like parades, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, and events celebrating history as well as acknowledging what our American soldiers have done and continue to do for our country.  Why not add a wedding reception to this list of activities? All of the elements associated with this holiday would be sure to add a vibrant feel to an already very special day.  Everything from the colors, to the food/beverages, event décor and lighting could play off of this theme attractively.  Twinkling lights could be projected on the room ceiling and or walls to add a dramatic effect as your guests enter the room….a red colored signature drink could be served to your guests, miniature American Flags could accent modern centerpieces, alternating napkin colors (red/white/blue) could add splash of vibrant color to the tables, the possibilities are simply endless.  A couple of other ideas that I personally adore are:

1)      During your toast (as bride and groom) include a special thank you to all of the individuals who either have served or are currently serving our country and recognize those present at your wedding reception by asking them to stand.

2)      In lieu of providing the guests with a “party favor” leave a letter at each table letting them know that a donation was made to help injured American Soldiers and their families.

3)      Provide the guests with “sparklers” to create a beautiful shining tunnel for the bride and groom to pass through upon their departure from the wedding reception.

Wedding receptions are events filled with emotions, and if you would like to also add some meaningful symbolism by incorporating a fourth of July theme….give me a call today and it would be my pleasure to assist you in achieving this goal!
