With the photojournalistic style of wedding photography on the rise, detail images are becoming a popular way to help tell the story of your wedding day.  With all the work that is put into your special day, you definitely want to remember everything!

When choosing your wedding photographer, here are a couple of tips to make sure nothing is missed and the story of your day is complete:

1.  The “Getting Ready” photos:  This is a time of the day that is not to be missed when it comes to your photography!  Your dress, hair, makeup, shoes, & jewelry are some of the most important details of your bridal attire.  Have your photographer come to the church about an hour before you start your photographs so they can capture you and your groom getting ready for the big day.  Images of these moments and details are great additions to your wedding album as well!

2.  Reception Images:  Decorating for your reception can be one of the biggest tasks when it comes to planning a wedding, which is also a reason to make sure you get great photographs of it!  If your reception site is close to the ceremony site, make a suggestion that your photographer photograph your reception site in between the photos and the ceremony.  This will give you great images when your guests are not already there.  If that is not an option, give your photographer a few moments once you arrive at the reception to photograph some details before you are announced in.  Guest will be up and away from the tables at this point, which should allow for better images.  It is also important that there is enough light around your cake table.
